State of N Carolina January 2nd 1818
Onslow County To all people to Whom these
presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I
William Redd of the County & State aforesaid for
& in Consideration of the Natural love and affection
Which I have and bear to my beloved Wife Sarah Red
of Said County & for many Other good Causes &
Considerations me hereunto marring have given &
Granted & by these presents do give & Grant unto the
Said Wife all and Singular my goods Two Negroes
Named Rias & Ruthey it being in part of
her Legacy to have hold & Enjoy all and singular
the said Negroes unto my wife Sarah Redd her
Executors Administrators & Assigns forever
& I the said William Redd all and singular the
Aforesaid Negroes to the Said Sarah Redd her Execu-
tors Administrators and assigns against all Persons
whatever & Shall & Will Warrant & forever Defend by
These presents In Witness Whereof I here set my
hand & Seal Date Aforesaid Signed Sealed &
Delivered in presence of
